Albania: Ministry of Defense sells Chinese military aircraft

TIRANA - The Ministry of Defence has announced that nine float military aircraft of the Albanian Armed Forces, Chinese manufacturing. For the sale of aircraft will be an auction which is expected to take place on Monday and will start with the initial figure of 24 million leks.

Aircraft used by former aviation school in Vlora and former aviation field in Tirana. According to the report issued in the Public Procurement Agency, Ministry of Defence intends to sell non-military aircraft for use, after finding no further use in the Armed Forces.

It is about two types of aircraft, Jak 18 Chinese manufacturing since 1971 and AN-2 aircraft produced in 1966. Jak 18 aircraft, two seater, used in aviation school for pilots' initial knowledge of the young but also in other demonstration activities, while AN-2 aircraft, with 10 seater capacity, have different functions in the armed forces.
