Drug dealers exchange fire with Greek Police
Four unidentified persons have exchanged fire with the Greek Police for several minutes, in the first hours of this morning, at the Greek-Albanian border.

Only 300 meters from the Qafe Bota border checkpoint, the persons who are believed to be Albanians have made use of the darkness for disappearing inside the Albanian territory.

AK-47 shells and emptied sacks of hashish were found on the scene.

The Greek Police say that after receiving information from a local fisherman, a police unit surrounded the drug dealers for seizing the sacks of narcotics, but the criminals responded to their appeals with fire.

The intervention was carefully planned, but the drug dealers were able to escape due to the good acknowledgement of the terrain, which means that they have probably trafficked drugs several times in that path.

The fire exchange left no victims. The Epirus Police Directory declared for Top Channel that they have contacted with the Albanian Border authorities for further investigation.
