The Syrian Kurds are seeking to finalize the federalization project as soon as possible to present it to the United Nations and to other countries, the head of the Syrian Kurds representative office in Moscow told Sputnik Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Kurds have announced the creation of a federal region in northern Syria.
“The two people who will represent the [federal system] project have been appointed today. When the project is finalized, we will present it to any state and to the United Nations. This an ideal project for Syria and for settling the conflict,” Rodi Osman said.
On Tuesday, reports appeared citing the plans of the Kurds to declare a "federation" in Northern Syria, which would remain a part of the country.
The Syrian government responded saying that the Kurds’ decision had no legal impact.
