Thirty five illegal immigrants from Syria were detained in southern Albanian province of Gjirokastra on Monday, said Albanian police statement.
Police forces of department for illegal transport stopped a truck in Gjirokastra which was heading to Montenegro carrying illegal immigrants from Syria.
Police forces have also detained three people under suspicion of involvement in illegal transport.
Since the truck smoothly passed police checkpoints Uji and Ftohte in the south, police suspects of complicity of its officers in this case, added statement.
The investigation is ongoing.
