" PARMENION - 2013" : Large exercises of the Greek Army

From 30 September to 4 October 2013 , is scheduled to conduct national interdisciplinary exercise named " PARMENION - 2013".

These large scale exercises , designed and managed by the Ministry of Defense , with the assistance of the General Staff.

The purpose of the exercise are:

A. Examination - address generated from international developments , the situation in the near and wider environment of our country.

B. The implementation of projects and the training of staffs and units in conducting interdisciplinary enterprise .
C. Implementation and evaluation of projects , processes and maintain warfighting capability of the Armed Forces.

D. To promote cooperation and coordination between branches of the Armed Forces of the bodies of the political field , the Hellenic Police and the OS / EL.AKT in the implementation of national plans.

The exercise is conducted on a realistic basis, 24 hours a day .
