ZVEČAN
-- Zvečan Mayor Dragiša Milović says that Serbs in the north of of
Kosovo will not take part in the local elections organized by Priština
on November 3.
"We did not do this out of spite and unconstitutionally, but to remain in the framework of the Constitution and the state Serbia," the mayor said.
He added that Belgrade and the international community can and must offer better and more just solutions for all who live in Kosovo and Metohija.
Milović also said that the Albanians are implementing the Brussels agreement selectively and are using it as "a buffet" - applying only what suits them.
Milović also thanked the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija for the reconstruction of facilities in the municipality.
The mayor announced that work will soon start to build a regional water supply for northern Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvečan and Zubin Potok, thereby resolving "one of the burning problems in the region."
