TAP project pact signed in Greece

TAP project pact signed in Greece
Albania, Greece and Italy signed an agreement about the construction of the Trans-Adriatic pipeline.

The agreement signed by the Albanian party through the Deputy Prime Minister and also Minister of Economy, Edmond Haxhinasto, allows the cooperation of these three countries to realize the project. If TAP wins against its rival Nabuco, Albania will turn into a strategic junction of natural gas transportation from the Caspian Sea to Western Europe.

The project foresees the construction of a 140 km long pipeline, with a $2 billion investment plan. Berisha says that the project will open 20.000 jobs and will provide gas in every Albanian family for low cost heating and cooking.
