Greek Navy: "BOUBOULINA." frigate going out of service

From  today the official Greek Navy frigate counts one less by in total 13 frigates. The Navy General Staff, held today at Salamis Naval Base official flag, lowering ceremony of the frigate "BOUBOULINA."
They were preceded by several other ships of the Navy, as frigates, gunboats, submarine, etc which withdrew without ever being replaced.

The F / G BOUBOULINA (F 463) is the first Navy ship named for the heroine of the Revolution of 1821,  Laskarina Bouboulina,  launched by shipyards KONINKLIJKA MAATSCHAPPIJ DE SCHELDE VLISSINGEN in the Netherlands on 21 January 1981.

It is the last type STANDARD frigate built by the Dutch Navy. He joined the Dutch Navy force on 1 October 1983 and the original name of the ship was «HNLMS PIETER FLORISZ» (F-826).

The receipt book and the raising of the Greek flag was on December 14, 2001 at DEN HELDER in Netherlands.

In the overall course of the Navy, the F / G BOUBOULINA recorded about 1,200 days at sea Covering a total of more than 148,000 nautical miles, participating in 8 Allied and numerous interstate and national exercises, operations and missions, both at home and abroad.
