Imami responds to opposition's accusations
The Minister of Defense, Arben Imami, who categorically denied the accusations for spying on the opposition with the Ministry’s equipments, declared that Albania works only against terrorism. As for the Parliamentary Commission request to inspect the Ministry, he declared with irony:

“They need to establish a commission with 3-4 trusted people, who must swear in a joint public declaration that they will not tell their family members about the secrets. We don’t work in this direction, but against terrorism”, Imami declared.

The vice chairman of the Commission for Security, Ilir GJoni, expressed the Socialists’ reserves regarding the Parliamentary surveillance that is being denied to the opposition. But the Minister of Defense insisted on the decision to not allow a physical inspection inside the Ministry.

The Security Commission continued with harsh debates since the beginning of the session, this Wednesday morning. The opposition MPs asked explanations about the rejected inspection.

Imami denied all accusations for illegal arms traffic, explaining that he informs the President, the Prime Minister and the Parliament Speaker for every sale.

As for the part of the meeting that was held behind closed doors, Gjoni confirmed that they discussed about some topics that had been treated by the media recently, such as the Bisht Palla Base and Vlore Marines that are expected to be removed from the state structures.
