Đoković defends title; water polo squad wins gold

MELBOURNE, EINDHOVEN -- World number one tennis player Novak Đoković has won the Australian Open title for the second time in a row and for the third time in his career.

He beat Spain’s Rafael Nadal 5:7, 6:4, 6:2, 6:7 (5:7), 7:5 after five hours and 53 minutes on Sunday.
This was the longest match in the tournament history.

Đoković Nadal for the seventh consecutive time in final matches.

The Serb in now only the fourth male since 1969 to claim three consecutive grand slams - others being Pete Sampras, Federer and Nadal.
