Albanian police say a man has been fatally shot following an argument over a party campaign poster for the upcoming general election.Police say the 32-year-old governing Democratic Party supporter died in a hospital after being shot with an assault rifle Friday. A 45-year-old suspect has been arrested.
Police spokesman Klodian Branko said the quarrel started when the suspect _ an opposition supporter _ objected to the victim sticking up a large Democratic Party poster in the village of Qerret, outside the capital Tirana.
An OSCE delegation will be monitoring the June 28 vote, in which conservative Prime Minister Sali Berisha will face a challenge from Socialist leader and Tirana mayor Edi Rama.
