Rama made decision: Summit from Tirana moved to Elbasan for security reasons

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama decided to move initial part of the Open Balkans summit with Zoran Zaev and Aleksandar Vucic from Tirana to the city of Elbasan

The decision was made after the opposition Democratic Party announced protests in Tirana.

The meeting should start later tonight.

The summit continues tomorrow morning in Tirana, if the security situation allows it.

Tomorrow, the meeting will be attended by the European Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi.

The planned walk through Tirana has been canceled.
