Serbia fears the lifting of borders between Albania and Kosovo In the last joint government meeting that Albania and Kosovo had, the two cabinets discussed several agreements which aim at fully liberalizing the market between the two countries.
Meanwhile, several days ago, the two countries signed a deal to set up joint border crossing points.
According to analysts, the creation of a joint economic space or a joint market by removing physical, technical and physical barriers would enable a free movement of goods, services and capital.
“The removal of barriers would offer more opportunities, while goods will not be blocked on the border due to bureaucracies. A joint market would be a very good opportunity for Albanian consumers on both sides of the border”, says Llokman Murtezani.
However, this idea has been strongly rejected by the Serb president, Aleksandar Vucic, who has commented the declaration made by Kosovo’s PM, Ramush Haradinaj that there will no longer be any borders between Kosovo and Albania.
“It’s clear for me that they will try to implement their plan. Albanians have united and they will try to convince the international community to support them”, Vucic declared. /ibna/
