State Department, Demonstration Alert for U.S. Citizens in Tirana
The Political Opposition in Tirana, against strong measures of the government Edi Rama, has warned US Departments of the State, through the US Embassy, to contain alarming marks for American citizens in Albania.
The cause of demostrates is a paradox, not for the economy, not for national affairs, but for the election of the General Prosecutor, which was not accepted by the opposition.
The following announcement of the press office is a strong message, for which the security measures are also maximum by the Albanian government.
Meanwhile, for any deterioration of the situation, which often occurs in Albania, this time NATO has taken its own measures, for an intervention from the sea and the ground, being ready, the special forces of the US Navy and the Task Force of the British Navy, but also to special troops from Greece in the Ionian Sea.

Event: A demonstration is expected to take place on January 27, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The group intends to protest against the Albanian government. U.S. Embassy personnel and family members are directed to avoid these locations while the protests take place.
