Rama: Supporting USA in the fight against ISIS
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, presented a panorama of the Wales NATO summit and the position held by Albania.

The government leader guaranteed that Albania would support the international partners, the USA and the EU, for every action in defending security and freedom.

“Forced by the attacks that will escalate from the international coalition, the terrorist mercenaries will try to find shelter in their countries of origin, by threatening to export the barbarity shown in Syria and Iraq. The stance of Albania was summarized in the need to involve NATO as soon as possible in Balkan countries”, Rama declared.

The government leader made clear the support of our country for the NATO open-door policy, especially for the countries of our region; for the structured relation of Kosovo with the Alliance; the rigorous implementation of the Ochrid Agreement, as the request that Albania focused most on during its participation in Wales.

“By asking to include even the yet unresolved issue, according to us, of the Ochrid Agreement, Albania doesn’t aim to hamper the integration path of our neighbor. Absolutely not. We believe that the establishing of democratic standards in the relations with the Albanians of Macedonia, by implementing the Ochrid agreement, will create conditions for a more stable future of Macedonia, and will take another step for the consolidation of the region against the threat of Islamic extremism”, Rama underlined.
