75 000 Albanians are 'Non Grata' in the European Union
«Non grata» is seventy-five thousand Albanian citizens. This is the picture published yesterday, the head of the Directorate for Borders and Immigration, Pëllumb Nako, a table at an event presented by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation.
According to Nako, 75 000 Albanians are undesirable persons in European Union countries.
The head of the Border and Immigration, said the fact that the number of Albanians who were defined as «non grata» is quite high and is associated with illegal activities, including violations of the rules of movement.
"The moment that started informally visa liberalization, there were approximately 75 000 individuals who were identified as undesirable in the Schengen area, ie 75 000 people were nominated for illegal immigration that did not qualify for entry into the Schengen area," said The Nako.
After the release of visas to countries of the European Union as a whole has recorded moving seven million Albanian citizens, each time entering about 75 000 Albanians.
At the beginning of the liberalization of visas, invaded many Albanians to attain the status of asylum. Major causes of Albanians seeking asylum in European countries was the employment, social problems, the phenomenon of revenge and political reasons, writes the Albanian newspaper.
