Activists in Tetovo released
The Macedonian Police has demanded information for the Red and Black Alliance and the Self Determination Movement.

Activists from the Red and Black Alliance in Macedonia were arrested this Monday in Tetovo for drawing graffiti of the Albanian flag and the ethnic map. The persons who were arrested declared that the police made more questions about Kreshnik Spahiu and Albin Kurti than about the graffiti.

“During the six hour long detention, we were interrogated by the State Security Services. They also tried to corrupt us and asked us about our relations with the Red and Black Alliance in Tirana and the Self Determination Movement in Prishtina. We have been asked to give information about Kreshnik Spahiu, where we meet him. We were asked about Albin Kurti and the activities of these organizations”, declared one of the arrested Albanians and RBA activist in Macedonia, Valon Kurtishi.

The Albanian Democratic Party (PDSH) in Macedonia has strongly condemned the arrest of the RBA activists, and accused the Albanian party in the ruling coalition of not being able to defend the national flag.

“While saying in their speeches that they will not allow the national flag to be offended, four activists of the civil society have been arrested, only because they drew the national flag. Those who promise to defend the national flag should respond about the measures they have taken against those arrested people by mentioning them gas chambers”, declared the PDSH MP, Ziajdin Sela.

BDI responded to the accusations of the PDSH through the MP Ermira Mehmeti.

“The Albanian men who were arrested yesterday were liberated immediately, but most important is the disappointing behavior of the PDSH. On the day of the national flag, the city that is considered as the basis of Macedonian Albanians, Tetovo, which is led by this party, was not decorated with any single national flag”, she declared.

The Red and Black Alliance leaders in Macedonia asked the Albanian political factor in the country to definitively resolve the issue for the usage of national symbols.
