The initiative began inside the Congress when a group of former and current Socialist Party luminaries have - in an open letter relating to the upcoming party congress - asked party leader Edi Rama to pull out of the Socialist's leadership race following the movement's defeat in the June 28 parliamentary elections.

The Congress delegates in total 1500 member, have voted unanimity to don`t recognize any new government and other institutions of new Albanian parliament, since the election vote to be guarantied by Albanian authorities.
