Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Lulzim Basha had an official meeting with Secretary General of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. Mr. Basha informed Mr. Scheffer on the developments in Albania and the region. Minister Basha informed Mr. Scheffer for the progress of reforms undertaken by Albania, for the consensual climate especially in case of the adoption of the electoral code, an important reform for the integrating processes of Albania.
Mr. Scheffer expressed his appreciation for the "positive developments in Albania by evaluating the political stability, and the role of the country for the regional stability. Secretary General of the Alliance noted that NATO backs Albania and its stabilizing role in the region".
In this framework, Minister Basha informed Secretary General of NATO that Albania will contribute in the fund for the establishment of Kosovo security force with 100.000 Euro.
Likewise, Mr Basha said to Mr.Schefer that Albania will send specialists of its armed forces to train and assist the setting up of Kosovo security force.

During the conversation they tackled on the issues of regional stability and the developments in the neighboring countries, whereto they once again pointed out the constructive role of Albanian as a pillar of stability in the Southeast Europe.
